Cladwell color research: findings and methodology Published by Cladwell, October 25, 2026. Release 2026-10-25.v1. https://cladwell.com/color-quiz-research The public tables contain whole percentages only, rounded independently. Account totals, raw counts and individual records are not published. Rounded categories may not sum to 100%. QUIZ SAMPLE One latest retained question-only color result per registered Cladwell account before October 25, 2026 at 2:15 PM Eastern. Staff, accounts marked inactive, anonymous sessions and additional saved versions are excluded. The active account flag is not a measure of recent engagement. Selected results were created October 2–25, 2026. RECORDING SAMPLE The wardrobe table covers accounts within the quiz sample with nondeleted, nonstored items in their whole-closet records. Closet contents were read at approximately 2:19 PM Eastern on October 25, 2026. 58% of the eligible quiz sample had items recorded. Each account counts once per base color when at least one eligible item has that tag. Color categories overlap. Shared catalog items may appear in different accounts. Fewer than 1% of recorded account/item pairs lacked a primary color tag. VALIDATION Saved quiz answers were independently resolved against the versioned twelve-outcome contract and matched their saved classifications. First and latest retained results differed for 10% of eligible accounts after rounding. Deep Autumn remained the most frequent result at about 32% under either selection. LIMITATIONS This is a self-selected Cladwell sample, not a representative population survey or validation against professional color analysis. Digital closet records may be incomplete and do not verify purchases, ownership outside the app, or wears. Broad color tags do not measure precise seasonal suitability. No causal effect was measured. Historical Typeform responses were excluded: form versions, wording and branch routing differ, and submission counters do not reconcile with every question-summary denominator. Modern quiz wording asks about current hair; the historical forms asked about natural hair. CITATION Cladwell. Cladwell color research: findings and methodology. October 25, 2026.
